I like the implication that the dog couldn't take it between Dib raving about aliens and Gaz playing her Gameslave, but this fic is a great, angst-filled explanation as well.
Dib looks a little beat up, but that's because in dibsthe1's universe, Dib is Gaz's personal punching bag. I have no idea what type of puppy the dog was supposed to be in the fic, so I went with boring generic coloring on the dog. Dib's expression is my favorite part of this pic.
