So just because I think I might get this question some more:
I DID NOT MAKE THE CHAINMAIL COIF FOR GODTIER DAVE. I purchased it on Amazon.com for $43 after shipping. It is a simple four-ring chainmail coif made of aluminum. It weighs about 10-12 pounds and it comes, like pretty much all chainmail, in silver. I simply painted it with Krylon burgundy spray paint (3 coats of it), and I still need to put a layer of varnish on it to keep it from flaking off.
So, yeah, it's actually super-simple and not prohibitively expensive! Come on guys I wanna see like a million chainmail Daves next time I go to a con. It is the best Godtier XD;;; Pajamas and a coif!

This is 4-ring chainmail made from aluminum. Making a coif this size would probably take at least a couple of months! Since I only had 3 weeks between the release of EOA5 and the con, I definitely didn't get to make it, haha.
It's a simple chaimail coif that you can buy on Amazon for $34 I think? It was $43 after shipping. It's a plain metal coif, which I painted red with Krylon paint. (it will take at least 3 coats to get most of the rings covered and then a varnish is needed to set it).
Hope this helps!
